I didn’t like Damian for a long time (Look! I spelled it right!), but one of the things that won me over was the relationship he had with Steph. She got through his defenses by treating him like he’s a little shit (which he is), and from that, he came to respect her, and it helped humanize him for me and make me hope he wouldn’t go evil at some point.
